How It Works
How does the ChillPaws Calming Collar work?
The collar is activated by close contact with your dog's or cat's skin. The warmth of your pet's body helps release a gentle, soothing scent, designed to help your pet feel more relaxed in stressful moments.
Can I hang the ChillPaws Calming Collar in the car, the house or a kennel?
No. The collar needs close contact with your pet to activate, so it only works when it is worn around their neck.
How long does each ChillPaws Calming Collar last?
Each collar lasts up to 15 days. For best results, we recommend replacing it every 10 days, so one pack of 3 covers about a month.
Will other pets in the house be affected by a collar worn on one pet?
No. The scent stays close to the pet wearing the collar. If you have more than one dog or cat, each pet needs its own ChillPaws Calming Collar.
Will it work for my pet?
Yes! The ChillPaws Calming Collar is made for all dogs and cats, whatever their breed, size or personality. Simply fit it, and let the soothing scent help your pet feel calmer through vet visits, travel, storms, noise and other stressful moments.
Fitting & Care
Will the ChillPaws Calming Collar fit my pet?
Yes. The dog collar is 62 cm (24.5 in) and the cat collar is 38 cm (15 in). Both are 1 cm wide and adjust to fit all sizes.
How tight should the collar be?
The collar should sit close against your pet's skin, like a flea collar, but with room for at least two fingers between the collar and your pet's neck.
Do I need to stretch the collar before fitting it?
No. Simply take it out of the packet, fasten it around your pet's neck, adjust the fit and trim the extra length.
If I cut the collar, will it still work?
Yes. Trimming off the extra length does not affect how the collar works.
What happens if the collar gets wet?
If the collar gets wet, take it off and wipe it dry, then put it straight back on your pet. It will carry on working as normal.
Can my pet wear it every day?
Yes, it is designed for everyday wear. Check the fit and your pet's skin regularly, and remove the collar if you notice any redness or irritation.
Safety
Is it safe for people to handle the collar?
Yes, normal contact with the collar while your pet is wearing it is fine. The collar is not a toy, so keep spare collars out of reach of children.
Orders & Delivery
How much is delivery?
Delivery is free on every UK order.
How long will my order take?
Orders are processed in 1-2 working days and delivered within 4-7 working days after dispatch.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Not at the moment. We currently deliver to UK addresses only.
How do I track my order?
We email you a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, if you email us within 12 hours of ordering and it has not yet been dispatched.
Returns & Refunds
What is your returns policy?
You can return unused, uncut collars in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery. See our Returns & Refunds page for full details.
My order arrived damaged. What do I do?
Email help@chillpaws.co.uk with your order number and a photo within 30 days. We will send a free replacement or a full refund.
How long do refunds take?
We issue refunds within 14 days of receiving your return. Your bank may take a further 3-5 working days.
